What you share
When you submit a form, Elk Grove Islamic Center collects the name, email, optional phone number, interests, or message you provide. We also record your updates preference, the wording of that choice, and the submission time.
How it is used
The founding organizers use submissions to respond to questions and coordinate founding or volunteer interest. Community updates are optional: the checkbox starts unchecked, and submitting a form does not automatically subscribe you. To withdraw your consent or request correction or deletion, email egic.elkgrove@gmail.com.
Direct replies
Organizers may reply directly by email to whoever submitted a form, using the contact information provided in that submission. This is separate from, and does not depend on, the optional community updates checkbox above -- a direct reply to your own submission is not a community update or bulk email, and every such reply is logged internally for our records.
Service providers and protection
Vercel hosts the website, Supabase stores submissions and linked contact records, and Resend delivers organizer notifications. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical browser signals to prevent automated abuse when forms are enabled. A short-lived, hashed network identifier limits repeated submissions; raw IP addresses are not stored in our submissions database. Hosting and security providers may process network information in their own logs.
Public surveys
Some surveys are shared directly through social media or other public links, so you may be reading this notice for the first time only after already answering one. When you respond to a public survey, Elk Grove Islamic Center records your answers to that survey. If a survey asks for an email address so we can follow up with you about your answers, giving it is optional and is its own separate consent -- it is not community updates and does not add you to any mass-email list, and it only takes effect after you click a confirmation link we send to that address. Until you confirm, your response is not linked to your email or to any other record about you.
Most surveys are reviewed internally by organizers only. Some are configured so that a simple, rounded summary of answers -- never your individual response, never free-text answers, and never an exact number of respondents -- may be shown to you right after you submit a simple multiple-choice survey, or published on the site or our social media once that survey closes. We will never publish anything beyond that kind of aggregate summary.
Survey data retention
Survey responses are retained only for as long as the organizers need them for community planning and follow-up. When a response is linked to a contact record, organizers can remove that link when it is no longer needed. A request to delete your information is a separate, stronger step: we also delete or redact any free-text answers you wrote and coarsen the submission date where practical. Website analytics
When enabled, Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate page usage without advertising cookies. Our integration sends only known public page paths, strips query strings, and does not send form values or custom submission events. It respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
Access and retention
Submissions and contact records linked by email are available only to authorized organizers and the services needed to process them. We do not sell your information. Organizers review records periodically and remove information no longer needed for these purposes. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information or details about children through these forms.
